Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Sub Assembler for Bartelt Packaging to assemble components per engineering drawings and BOMs. You will prepare parts kits, inspect parts, drill and tap holes, align components, and test assemblies under supervision.

Candidates should have 2–4 years’ machinery assembly experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong math/reading of drawings. Ability to lift 25 lbs and multi-task is required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required; technical degree or training preferred.
• 2–4 years’ experience as a machinery assembler.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and general arrangement drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring procedures (fractions/decimals; metric conversions).
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives, reviews and prepares the parts kit for assembly; reviews build manuals and BOMs; arranges parts for the machine per sales order specs.
• Inspects and prepares parts; removes sharp edges and ensures close fits.
• Drills, taps or reams holes with hand tools.
• Aligns components and attaches with bolts, screws or hardware.
• Uses fixtures to assemble simple assemblies; supports lead assembler; may assist in testing completed products.
