Job summary

The Carlstar Group in Clinton, TN is seeking an assembler to build tires to exact specifications, read engineering and quality standards, and operate basic machinery.

You will document results, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold safety and ergonomic requirements while working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. A high school diploma or GED and forklift licensing are required or will be pursued, with opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing/distribution operation preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting production and quality goals.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift or equipment license as needed or required.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand building specifications, quality standards, work assignments, basic measuring tools.
• Mechanical aptitude to use basic hand tools and operate machinery.
• Interface with equipment HMI / PLC, and handheld scanning equipment.
• Meet minimum efficiency and quality requirements.
• Understand when adjustments are needed on any equipment to meet tolerances required.
• Ensure materials meet all specifications and are loaded properly for use.
• Follow procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
• Organize materials and tires onto the proper racking.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
