iWorkforce Solutions in Cedar Park, TX seeks a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator for a temporary assignment in a fabrication and welding shop. The successful candidate will fit, weld, and finish precision sheet metal components using TIG/GTAW welding to exact engineering specifications.

This onsite role requires reading blueprints, welding thin-gauge material, and maintaining high-quality finishes while adhering to 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Previous TIG/GTAW welding experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience with welding and fabrication processes in a production environment.
• Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform fit-up, tack welding, TIG/GTAW welding, grinding, and finishing operations.
• Fabricate and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Weld thin-gauge sheet metal and fabricated assemblies, including materials as thin as .036 inches.
• Perform spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding operations as required.
• Install PEM hardware, rivet nuts, inserts, studs, and related hardware.
• Perform drilling, tapping, countersinking, and other secondary fabrication operations.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and visual quality.
• Complete production documentation and work order transactions accurately.
• Meet production schedules and follow established work priorities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Perform routine operator preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections.
• Report safety concerns, quality issues, equipment abnormalities, and maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment in good working condition.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Follow all applicable company policies, including health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
