Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions is seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator for a temporary assignment in a fabrication and welding shop in Cedar Park, TX. The role focuses on precision welding, thin-gauge materials, and high-quality finished components.

Onsite work with a day shift, requiring the ability to read blueprints and produce clean welds to engineering specs. The successful candidate will fit, weld, and finish sheet metal parts, using TIG/GTAW as the primary process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Previous TIG/GTAW welding experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience with welding and fabrication processes in a production environment.
• Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform fit-up, tack welding, TIG/GTAW welding, grinding, and finishing operations.
• Fabricate and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Weld thin-gauge sheet metal and fabricated assemblies, including materials as thin as .036 inches.
• Perform spot, stud, and robotic welding operations as required.
• Install PEM hardware, rivet nuts, inserts, studs, and related hardware.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and visual quality.
• Complete production documentation and work order transactions accurately.
• Meet production schedules and follow established work priorities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S standards.
• Report safety concerns and maintenance needs promptly.
