ETS-Lindgren in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a TIG Welder to inspect, assemble and weld metal components, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards in our manufacturing environment.

You will perform TIG welding, brazing and soldering, prepare surfaces and follow procedures to maintain high-quality workmanship. Trade school training or MIG/TIG certification is preferred, with a High School Diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–2 years of TIG welding, brazing, and soldering experience meeting superior aesthetic, cosmetic, and high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, measure or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Assemble, align and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat‑treat, or solder fabricated metal components; adjust controls to fix problems.
• Layout, fit, or connect parts to be bonded, calculating production measurements as necessary.
• Mark weld points and positions on work pieces using rulers, squares, templates or scribes.
• Prepare metal surfaces or work pieces using hand‑operated equipment; clean aluminum with alcohol or acetone.
• Select torch tips, alloys, flux, coil, tubing or wire according to metal types or thickness, data charts, or records.
• Set dials and timing controls to regulate current, gas flow, heating or cooling cycles; monitor meters to ensure standards.
