Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Slidell, LA is seeking an experienced welder to join our fabrication team. You will review drawings, select consumables, and perform TIG and MIG welding to repair stainless steel plate and pipe.

You will also fabricate parts from plate, angle, and flat bar, and ensure welds meet structural specs. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up and maintaining welding equipment, cleaning surfaces, and inspecting welds for quality.

Qualifications

• 5 years of TIG welding experience required.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Proficiency with TIG and MIG welding techniques.

A day in this roleYou begin by reviewing drawings for a stainless steel plate-and-pipe repair. After selecting the right consumables, you prep surfaces—removing rust, dirt, grease, and debris—then set up your TIG or MIG equipment and verify torch condition and machine settings. You cut, measure, and tack components from plate, angle, and flat bar, complete clean welds, and confirm the work meets structural and specification requirements.
