The role supports both independent work and teamwork on the plant floor. Candidates should have a High School diploma and at least two years in metal fabrication or welding, with proficiency in CNC setup and basic G-code.

  • Must read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding; knowledge of TIG and Stick welding preferred.

  • Must follow procedures and maintain accuracy in measurements and tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and mark materials for cutting, shaping, and machining.
  • Cut, bend, and form metal components using appropriate tools.
  • Perform precision MIG welding; TIG/Stick welding knowledge a plus.
  • Assemble fabricated and machined parts into complete units with quality and structural integrity.
  • Inspect work for defects and compliance with standards; perform minor repairs on fabrication and CNC equipment.

Job description

PurposeResponsible for fabricating metal components and structures by measuring, cutting, welding, machining, and assembling materials according to blueprints and specifications. The role requires precision in MIG welding and CNC machining, with knowledge of TIG and Stick welding preferred. The department is structured to support both independent work and team collaboration, requiring the ability to work alone or within a team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Measure and mark materials accurately for cutting, shaping, and machining. Cut, bend, and form metal components using appropriate tools and equipment. Perform precision MIG welding, with proficiency in TIG and Stick welding as a plus. Assemble fabricated and machined parts into complete units, ensuring quality and structural integrity. Inspect completed work for accuracy, defects, and compliance with standards. Maintain and perform minor repairs on fabrication and CNC equipment (e.g., welding torches, cutters, tool changes, etc.).
