Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC in Texas is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and repair gas turbine components, sheet metal and casting turbine engine parts. The role includes setting up jobs from blueprints, performing TIG welding, and inspecting welds to ensure quality and safety, while maintaining equipment and mentoring other welders.

The ideal candidate will have TIG welding experience, the ability to read drawings, and the stamina to work varied shifts with potential overtime.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with TIG welding experience.
3–5 years TIG welding experience or welding certificate.
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
Familiar with TIG welding procedures and power generation equipment.

Responsibilities

Weld/repair GE-type Buckets/Nozzles/Shrouds and combustion.
Set up and lay out jobs using blueprints, diagrams, routers, and fixtures; follow TIG procedures.
Inspect and log preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
Set up machines per work instructions including trim, size, and form.
Visually inspect welds with gauges and fixtures; perform weld inspections for defects.
Comply with customer drawings, safety standards, and quality systems.
Lead other diaphragm welders and supervise work at customer sites.
