Job summary

MacLean-Fogg Company in Savanna, IL seeks a production operator to manage a tapping/deflection station on-site. The role begins with 1st shift training (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) for up to six months, then moves to 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM).

You will run assigned mechanical equipment safely, perform in-process and first-piece checks, read blueprints, and document results while ensuring quality and timely paperwork in a noisy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years operating and setting up production machinery.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints.
• Solid math skills and attention to documentation detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machinery with focus on safety, uptime, and output.
• Verify parts meet specifications via in-process and first-piece checks.
• Use gauges and measuring tools to confirm dimensions and finish.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and adjust processes as needed.
• Read work instructions and blueprints to guide setup and inspection.
• Complete production and quality paperwork accurately and on time.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
