Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Tapping Deflection Operator on 2nd shift at the Savanna, IL facility. You will operate mechanical equipment, verify quality, perform inspections, and adjust equipment as needed to support safe, efficient production.

Training on 1st shift for up to six months precedes the 2nd shift schedule. You will lift and handle components, follow blueprints, document production steps, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience with setup and operation of machinery.
• Machine-operation and precision-measurement skills.
• Ability to interpret work instructions and follow directions.
• Ability to read blueprints when applicable.
• Basic math skills and documentation proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Verify that produced items meet quality-control requirements and specifications.
• Use basic measuring instruments to check product dimensions and quality.
• Perform first-piece inspections as needed.
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make adjustments.
• Read and interpret work instructions and blueprints when applicable.
• Complete required production and quality documentation fully and accurately.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
