Job summary

Threshold Enterprises seeks a Manufacturing Process Technician to safely manufacture dietary tablets, capsules, liquids and powders in accordance with product specifications. You will set up, operate, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on blenders, tablet presses, encapsulators, coating pans and metal detectors.

You will monitor quality, make necessary machine adjustments, collect and analyse data, troubleshoot issues, and document changes to support line efficiency and regulatory

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet applicable quality standards through compulsory sampling and testing during operations.
• Make mandatory machine adjustments to guarantee smooth line operation for required quality and output.
• Adhere to safety expectations, wearing mandatory PPE and following all mandated safe practices.
• Collect and analyse data using applied-math skills.
• Utilise problem-solving skills to investigate, troubleshoot product issues and recommend solutions.
• Address tableting issues: sticking, capping, chipping, compressibility, disintegration.
• Resolve encapsulation issues: sticking, headroom, capsule shell defects.
• Tackle general issues: machine setup, performance, product assay, documentation.
• Execute recommended solutions, document mandatory changes, and communicate updates.
• Perform calculations and physical improvements to enhance product performance.
• Complete mandatory documentation: ingredient change forms, in-process deviations, batch-record corrections, processing forms.
• Perform routine maintenance activities.
• Work outside standard hours and mandatory overtime.
• Utilise hand and power tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills).
• Collaborate in a team environment, mandate mandatory assistance to colleagues.
• Participate in mandatory cross-training across the facility.
• Mandate mandatory completion of Processor Operation Logs, signed and compliant with mandatory Company Standard and regulatory mandates.
