Responsibilities

• Removes coatings, excess material, and surface defects from items using revolving abrasive wheels, belts, and other specialized tools.
• Blends surface imperfections and coatings to achieve a uniform finish.
• Prepares surfaces for subsequent processes, ensuring proper adhesion and finish quality.
• Smooths surfaces and produces specified finishes by using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Selects abrasive materials, tools, and equipment according to material type, finish specification, and coating being removed.
