Job summary

V2X in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Paint Prep Technician for the 2nd shift to support coating operations at our Modernization and Sustainment site. You will prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and ensure adherence to specifications to deliver high-quality finishes.

Key responsibilities include surface preparation, masking, following routings and blueprints, and paying close attention to detail. Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance and work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper surface preparation methods and coating techniques.
• Ability to follow verbal and written specifications, routings, and other instructions.
• Attention to detail and precision in coating application.
• Skill in masking and protecting areas not intended for coating.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Applies coating materials to surfaces using brushing, rolling, and spraying methods.
• Prepares surfaces for coating application, including cleaning and masking.
• Ensures proper coating application and adherence to surface protection requirements.
• Maintains precision to avoid defects in coating application.
• Follows routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
