Catapult Federal Services is seeking a Structural Welder for a 1st shift in Fairfield, Ohio. The role follows blueprint specifications to fabricate and weld parts per customer designs, ensuring strict quality and safety standards and contribute to steady production output.

The ideal candidate has welding experience in manufacturing, can read blueprints, and is willing to obtain AWS D1.1/D1.3 certifications.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Familiarity with welding tools and metalworking equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow safe work practices and established procedures.
• Ability to lift raw materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to successfully complete a welding certification test during the interview process.
• Must be able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.3 weld certifications within the first few weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprint specifications to weld and fabricate parts according to customer designs.
• Align, fit, and weld components to meet required specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.
• Verify completed components meet design and quality requirements.
• Interpret and analyze drawings and schematics to fabricate components accurately.
• Maintain detailed production and quality records as required.
• Follow all established safety and quality procedures.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
