Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of shop math and blueprint reading preferred.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, 5S, and JIT principles preferred.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift from the floor, walk, reach frequently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assemble steering gear components on conveyor line and load onto assembly line.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to perform duties.
• Ensure compliance with TS and ISO manufacturing practices.
• Set up, clean and inspect tools; load in machine as required.
• Maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment; perform machine offsets and adjustments.
• Perform SPC data collection, charts, and graphs for quality assurance.
• Keep accurate production counts and perform record-keeping duties.
• Follow safety policies and 5S standards; identify and communicate safety concerns.
