Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, Blytheville, AR, seeks a Machine Operator to set up and run high-speed equipment to form or cut steel to spec. You’ll help maintain product quality and safe manufacturing practices in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities include advanced setup and calibration, inspecting materials, recording production logs, housekeeping, assisting maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and write English and maintain production logs.
• Ability to perform basic math with decimals and fractions.
• Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Perform advanced setup and calibration of production equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after production runs.
• Record and report quality deficiencies to supervision or the quality department.
• Maintain tooling and equipment required for job completion.
• Diagnose equipment and quality issues while minimizing scrap and downtime.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to keep work areas clean and safe.
• Complete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap material.
• Assist maintenance with repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
