Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Machine Operator in Blytheville, AR. You will set up and run high-speed equipment to form or cut steel to specifications, ensuring product quality and safe manufacturing practices in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires reading/writing English, basic math, and experience with measuring devices. You will maintain records, assist with maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and maintain production records.
• Ability to perform basic math including decimals and fractions.
• Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment necessary for job completion.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to health and safety work practices and regular onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Perform advanced setup and calibration of production equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after production runs.
• Record and report quality deficiencies to supervision or the quality department.
• Maintain tooling and equipment required for job completion.
• Diagnose equipment and quality issues while minimizing scrap and downtime.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to keep work areas clean and safe.
• Complete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap material.
• Assist maintenance with repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
