Job summary

Saval Foodservice in Elkridge, MD is seeking a dedicated Meat Trimmer to help maintain portion control and quality standards across beef, veal, lamb and pork.

You will work in a cold, wet environment, operate Cryovac equipment, apply labels, and assist stocking in the main cooler.

We offer full-time hours, competitive hourly pay of $19.00, plus benefits including 401K matching, health, vision and life insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be able to trim beef, veal, lamb, and pork to company specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing work schedules.
• Follow all GMPs as trained.
• Comfortable working in a cold (41°F) and wet environment.
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.
• Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and handle multiple tasks.
• Handle product according to safety and quality specifications.
• Experience with steak trimming.

Responsibilities

• Trim beef, veal, lamb, and pork to meet portion control and quality standards.
• Package products and operate Cryovac machines.
• Set up and operate large Cryovac machine.
• Apply proper films and date labels.
• Run product through machines using correct settings.
• Bulk Cryovac product in proper pouches.
• Assist in stocking steak products in the main cooler as needed.
