Wayne Metals, LLC in Indiana seeks a Production Welder to operate resistance spot welding equipment, load parts, and run production jobs per specifications. You will perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure weld quality and report production data accurately.

The role requires reading blueprints, counting measurements, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while meeting efficiency standards. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior welding experience is a plus.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior resistance spot welding or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Able to read simple blueprints and work instructions.

Mansioni

• Operate resistance spot welding machines and related equipment on jobs trained for.
• Load and position parts into fixtures and activate weld cycles per instructions.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to specs.
• Visually inspect welds for appearance and defects such as expulsion, burn-through, or weak welds.
• Notify supervision of weld quality issues and do not modify machine settings without authorization.
• Record production counts, scrap, downtime, and labor entries accurately in the system.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work area in accordance with safety standards.
