Qualifications

• Must be able to pass Open Root 3G MIG/FluxCore Fill in Cap weld test.
• MIG and Flux Core welding experience required (min 2 years).
• Basic safety training.
• Intermediate math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Firm understanding of volts and amps and how to adjust.
• Basic data entry skills for maintenance breakdown calls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, weld symbols, and operate required tools.
• Understand and follow quality policy and procedures – detect defects.
• Troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans details of working procedure.
• Inspects finished product for conformance to QA procedures.
• Safely operates all advanced welding equipment.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust welding machines to maintain production and quality.
• Participates in improvement planning – modify welding procedures for safety, efficiency, quality.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Clocks into production jobs and maintains production averages.
• Coordinates with all departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
