Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Schaumburg seeks an experienced technician to support high‑reliability electronics assembly and repair. You will collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to perform SMT and through‑hole soldering, rework, and board repair, following ECOs, drawings, and SOPs.

Must have 3+ years of hands‑on experience, ability to read schematics and BOMs, and knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 or J‑STD‑001. Strong manual dexterity, microscopes, RoHS leaded/lead‑free processes, and MS Office skills

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in high-reliability electronics assembly, solder rework and PCBA troubleshooting.
• Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain required security clearance.
• Experience reading schematics, BOMs, and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 or J‑STD‑001 required.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Component-Level soldering and rework on SMT and through‑hole devices.
• Trace and board repair on damaged traces, pads, and vias.
• Wire harness assembly and direct‑to‑board wiring tasks.
• Documentation and compliance to ECOs, drawings and SOPs.
• Advise on IPC standards and RoHS lead‑free processes.
