Job summary

DIVSYS International-ICAPE, part of ICAPE Group, seeks a skilled Repair & Rework Operator in Indianapolis, IN. You will repair, rework and modify SMT and through-hole assemblies to IPC standards while maintaining quality, traceability and process discipline.

Responsibilities include selecting solder alloys, using rework equipment, inspecting to IPC-A-610 criteria, and documenting all activity. Experience in electronics manufacturing and ESD/ MSD handling is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics training preferred.
• Experience with hand soldering, desoldering and PCB rework in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IPC-7711/7721 repair/rework procedures and IPC-A-610 criteria.
• IPC Specialist (CIS) certification preferred or obtainable within initial months.

Responsibilities

• Repair, rework and modification of SMT and through-hole assemblies.
• Select correct solder alloys and flux systems per specs.
• Operate and maintain rework equipment such as hot air, BGA systems and preheaters.
• Inspect returns, verify failure, locate defects and perform repairs.
• Document repair actions and maintain traceability on travelers/reports.
• Ensure ESD control and MSD handling during all steps.
