Job summary

VIRTEX is looking for an SMT Operator in Norwood, Massachusetts. The operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring SMT production equipment, ensuring accurate component placement and product quality. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1–2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT assembly. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT assembly preferred.
• Understanding of basic PCB assembly processes and surface mount components.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Class 2 or Class 3 workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT equipment including stencil printers and pick-and-place machines.
• Perform machine setups, program loading, and line changeovers.
• Inspect products for solder defects and component alignment.
