Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience operating, setting up, and troubleshooting slitter machines.
• Clear manual dexterity and coordination.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Basic measurement and math skills for length, width, height, and weight.
• Basic arithmetic and decimal/fraction conversions.
• Basic computer proficiency and software familiarity.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time.
• Ability to make sound decisions using experience and judgment.
• Ability to work well with supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitter machine during production as needed.
• Review work orders and tooling instructions.
• Select correct material per work order.
• Setup operations including heads and tooling changes.
• Determine processing specs such as material, size, surface, defects.
• Feed master coil through slitter or flattener rolls.
• Coordinate schedules with the scheduler and run scrap machine.
• Perform quality inspections and ISO process checks.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine cleaning.
• Document work orders and mark material as required.
