Job summary

Backcountry is seeking a Ski Mounting Technician (Seasonal) to join the back-of-house workshop. You will precisely mount, adjust, and inspect ski bindings, following manufacturer specs and safety standards, in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires mechanical inclination, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with occasional overtime during peak season. This seasonal position lasts up to six months and involves evenings and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a ski tech or mounting bindings is preferred.
• Ability to interpret mounting charts and instructions.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong manual dexterity for fine mechanical tasks.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends during peak season.
• Adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately mount, calibrate, test, and release-check ski bindings per specs.
• Use specialized workshop tools and maintain calibration.
• Use warehouse management and mounting software.
• Inspect skis and bindings for wear, defects, and safety concerns; document work.
• Support inventory, care, and maintenance of workshop tools and consumables.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and management for workflow efficiency.
