Job summary

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation in Boyne Falls, MI is seeking a Shop Technician to tune and mount ski and snowboard bindings, greet customers, and support daily shop operations. You will assist guests with equipment fitting, explain use and care, and ensure items are properly adjusted while delivering friendly service.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of tuning/binding mounting experience, are available weekends and evenings, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Available to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• 2 years of ski/snowboard tuning and bindings mounting/adjusting experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide information on ski equipment.
• Assist with equipment fitting and explain care of items.
• Help customers select items and ensure proper adjustments.
• Educate customers on safety in skiing and snowboarding.
• Tune, repair, and store equipment per vendor instructions.
• Document rentals and sales and manage receipts.
• Oversee repair, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment.
• Notify supervisor of maintenance needs.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
