Job summary

Cantrell-Gainco in the Gainesville, GA area seeks a Shop Flex Operator to support multiple shop areas, serving as the primary Press Brake Operator and backup for CNC tasks. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting tooling, and ensuring part quality.

You will move between presses, saws, lathes, routers, and other equipment, maintain safety, and support cross-training of team members. A strong mechanical aptitude and precision measurement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience setting up and operating press brake equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong measurement skills with tape measure to 1/32 inch.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the shop’s primary Press Brake Operator and set up tooling and machine settings.
• Read blueprints, work orders, and bend instructions to fabricate components.
• Perform routine inspections and ensure dimensional accuracy of parts.
• Provide backup CNC support and operate CNC equipment as needed.
• Safely operate shop machinery including saws, lathes, routers, and sandblasting equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Cross-train team members and adapt to changing production priorities.
