Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating press brake equipment.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or industrial production preferred.
• Technical certification or accreditation is preferred.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings is required.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to engineering specifications and production requirements.
• Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake equipment as required by product plans, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Load, position, and secure materials to ensure proper alignment during forming operations.
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
• Ensure sufficient raw materials are available and properly staged for production.
• Measure, position, and align materials before forming operations.
• Assist with setup and adjustment of tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances before and after fabrication.
• Use precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
• Identify defects and adjust equipment or process as needed.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
