Job summary

Roberts Manufacturing is seeking skilled Press Brake Operators to join our fabrication team on 1st and 2nd shifts. You will work with CNC press brakes and automated panel bending technology to produce precision sheet metal components for our high-quality manufactured products.

You will read blueprints, set up tooling, create and optimize machine programs, and perform inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience operating or setting up press brakes or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and process documentation.
• Basic math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and layout tools.
• Understanding of machine guarding, pinch points, lockout/tagout principles, and safe operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC press brakes and automated panel bending equipment to efficiently produce precision sheet metal components.
• Select and install punches, dies, and tooling based on production requirements.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Create, modify, and optimize machine programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring equipment.
• Verify dimensions, bend angles, and tolerances using tape measures, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Safely move materials and finished parts using forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvements.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area while following established procedures and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team members across fabrication, welding, and assembly operations to meet production goals.
