Job summary

Bosch Group in Norman, OK is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate press equipment and fabricatе sheet metal parts to tight tolerances. You will inspect parts, read blueprints, and report discrepancies with a strong emphasis on safety and 5S discipline.

Basic computer skills and the ability to read decimals and scales are required. Brazing training may be needed for some tasks; on‑the‑job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Use of decimals, fractions and scales.
• Complete in-plant Brazing training course (should brazing be required for assigned job).
• On job training.

Responsibilities

• Operate press machine to fabricate sheet metal parts within very close tolerances and inspect parts.
• Obtain blueprints from MES and verify its information; work from blueprints.
• Enter yield into MES and production log at the machine in the 5S area.
• Set dials on control console for automatic shears and adjust back gauge and clamps as needed.
• Record production and machine downtime; maintain a clean, 5S workspace.
