Job summary

Bosch Home Solutions is seeking an Advanced Steel Press Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team in Wichita, KS. This role performs die changeovers, setups, and operates single stroke mechanical presses (70 tons and up) to blank, punch, and form parts to specifications.

You will read OMS and job instructions, prepare equipment, troubleshoot setup issues, ensure quality, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following all procedures and daily production paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using press machines is preferred.
• Ability to read OMS and quality specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Read, communicate, and understand Operational Method Sheets (OMS) and job instructions.
• Handle materials to and from workstations and prepare equipment for production.
• Operate press to punch and form parts according to specifications.
• Perform die changeovers and select appropriate materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues or seek technical support as needed.
• Adjust and tighten hold down bolts, dies, springs, and pins; lubricate materials and parts.
• Complete all required production paperwork.
• Report work shortages and perform rework as needed.
• Maintain quality standards including first and last part inspection or parts produced against OMS and/or specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
