Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies seeks a Setup Machinist/Operator to set up and operate CNC and manual machines, producing precision components in a high-quality shop environment. You will inspect parts, adjust tooling, and support lean initiatives while upholding strict safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years of precision machining experience, strong blueprints/GD&T skills, and a keen eye for detail. The role offers experienced compensation and a collaborative team culture in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of precision machining experience, including CNC and/or manual machine operation.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining principles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment.
• Familiarity with tooling selection, cutting parameters, and standard fixturing techniques.
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment, including: Micrometers; Calipers.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools to manufacture precision components.
• Run existing CNC programs and make minor edits, offsets, and tool adjustments.
• Select tooling and cutting parameters with guidance from seniors.
• Load, secure, and align workpieces for accurate machining.
• Verify production and monitor machine performance against requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings for setups.
