The role requires standing for a full shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and applying welding and assembly techniques to fabricate window units. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for quality production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Previous manufacturing, production, or saw operation experience is an asset.
• Be able to recognize material by shape and color.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in various positions.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials based on specifications.
• Ensure high-quality welds to meet production standards.
• Operate welding machines to fabricate and assemble window frames using various welding techniques.
• Ensure accurate measurements and alignment during the welding process.
• Performs quality inspections / audits and engages in problem solving to resolve issues.
• Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations (5S / PPE / LOTO).
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and efficiency.
• Work in other areas where required.
