Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a Saw Operator on the 2nd shift in New Jersey to cut vinyl to exact dimensions for window assembly. You will work with a computerized cutting system in a fast‑paced, physically demanding setting, performing quality checks and 5S housekeeping.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, rotation through multiple stations, and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience. Comprehensive benefits start day 1, with full‑time hours and opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• Must lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and understand schedule’s workflow report, and written instructions.
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Ability to move production carts
• Be able to recognize part by shape and color
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate varied hand tools to manually construct window units.
• Lift and move vinyl lineals from storage area to saw workstation.
• Move carts in and out of production workstations.
• Sort and select the correct batch to process based on online’s schedule flow report.
• Operate safely equipment with computerized system.
• Load vinyl components into the production carts.
• Place scrap in the corresponding barrel (5S process).
• Maintain correct parts drops inventory in the system in the drop bin location.
• Ensure overall quality by performing quality audits and solving issues.
• Audit quality check of cut parts.
• Perform 5S and housekeeping; during line stoppages perform downtime duties.
