Job summary

FXI is seeking a saw operator to support our manufacturing operations in NC. You will operate various saws, set up equipment for production runs, and ensure parts meet quality standards through careful measurement and inspection.

The role emphasizes maintenance, safety, and accurate documentation, with collaboration across teams and opportunities to train new operators. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus preferred machining experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
• Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with various saw types and cutting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate different types of saws to cut materials according to specifications.
• Set up saws for production runs, including adjusting speed, feed rates, and blade angles as necessary.
• Monitor the cutting process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Measure and inspect cut materials for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing blades.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and any issues encountered during operations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient production flow.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
