This role operates different saws to cut materials per specifications, setting up equipment for production runs, and ensuring quality while maintaining safety and documentation.

The operator will train new staff and collaborate across departments to maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining/manufacturing is a plus.
• Previous saw-operator experience preferred.
• Familiarity with various saw types and cutting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate different types of saws (band, circular, etc.) to cut materials per specifications.
• Set up saws for production runs; adjust speed, feed, blade angles as needed.
• Monitor cutting process to ensure quality; measure and inspect cut materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment: cleaning, lubricating, blades.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate production records of quantities and materials used.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members and departments for efficient production flow.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
