Job summary

FXI is seeking a skilled Saw Operator to cut materials using band and circular saws, set up production runs, and maintain quality throughout the process.

Responsibilities include monitoring cutting quality, performing routine maintenance, and documenting production data while following safety guidelines. Collaboration with teammates ensures smooth production flow and proper training for new operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining is a plus.
• Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with various saw types and cutting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate different types of saws to cut materials according to specifications.
• Set up saws for production runs, including adjusting speed, feed rates, and blade angles as necessary.
• Monitor the cutting process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Measure and inspect cut materials for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing blades.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and any issues encountered during operations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient production flow.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
