Job summary

Ellwood Specialty Metals Company in New Castle, PA is hiring a Saw and Flow Operator I to operate automatic saw equipment, locate and handle stock, and ensure cut material meets customer specifications. The role reports to the Operations Manager and is on-site at the New Castle facility.

Primary duties include receiving, storing, cutting, and shipping material, performing quality checks, and maintaining safe, clean work areas in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge applicable to setup and operation of saw equipment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret measurements.
• Ability to read instructions, policies and charts.
• Attention to safety and equipment integrity.

Responsibilities

• Receive, cut, and ship material to meet shop and customer requirements.
• Set up and operate saw, select feeds/speeds, maintain coolant concentration.
• Inspect material quality during/after cutting for squareness and accuracy.
• Record production data in the computer system and update inventory.
