Job summary

LECO Corporation in Saint Joseph, MI is seeking a full-time manufacturing associate to perform fill/sand of castings and production sanding as directed by supervision. The role includes cross-training for related duties, maintaining product quality, and meeting blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities include router sheet vs blueprint cross-checks, safe use of sanding equipment, and accurate daily reporting of parts produced. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Use of miscellaneous hand tools: Orbital Sander, Dynafile, Hand Grinder, Bead Blast, Hand Files.
• Operator forklift and LECO forklift license required.
• Maintain quality and productivity and ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities

• Pick up LECO parts from Raw Parts holding area and move to workstation.
• Ensure Router Sheet revision level matches blueprint revision level.
• Contact Plating/Paint Supervisor if revision levels mismatch.
• Do not process parts if revision levels do not match.
• Produce and maintain quality parts to blueprint specs.
• Maintain acceptable productivity level.
• Record quantity, initials, and date on Router Sheet when finished.
• Sand parts and operate sanding equipment safely.
• Wear protective gloves during sanding.
• Position parts to avoid overreaching and bending.
• Inspect sanded parts during sanding operation.
• Ensure labor is reported timely and correctly.
• Implement corrective actions as needed.
• Record daily parts ran on Form R8.5.1.4 as required.
