Job summary

TERREPOWER is seeking a Production Associate – Sand & Buff to grind, sand, and polish used auto light lenses back to insurance-quality condition. You’ll work on a production line, with a team that shares tips on technique and implements ideas for faster or cleaner finishes.

Your responsibilities include inspecting parts to determine processing needs, setting up wheels and compounds, finishing by hand or machine, and ensuring quality control before output.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ year of warehouse, manufacturing, or factory experience preferred, not required.
• Grinding, sanding, or buffing/polishing experience is a plus; training provided if needed.
• Sharp eye for finish quality and defects caught before parts leave station.
• Able to stand, stay focused, and complete an 8–10 hour shift.
• Able to track multiple parts moving through station without loss of accuracy.
• Coachable and willing to learn new finishing techniques from teammates and trainers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each lens or housing to determine material and process needed — light buffing, deep sanding, or full re-finish.
• Set up with the right grinding wheels, sanding grits, and polishing compounds.
• Grind, sand, clean, and polish lenses by hand and machine to insurance-quality finish.
• Run finished pieces through quality control before moving to next station.
• Follow safety procedures — PPE, machine guards, and safe handling.
• Bring ideas to the team on faster or better finishing methods.
