Atlas Copco North America LLC in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is seeking a Production Test Technician to lead advanced testing strategies for compressors and related equipment. This role focuses on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

You will perform mechanical tests on rotating machinery, capture vibration/pressure/temperature data, and collaborate with the engineering team to design robust test setups and detailed reports for traceability and quality

Qualifications

• Industrial testing experience in rotating machinery.
• Proven ability to design and manage testing systems.
• Strong safety and quality standards adherence.
• Experience testing centrifugal blowers, compressors, dryers.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision shaft alignment using laser shaft alignment tools.
• Conduct mechanical tests on centrifugal blowers, compressors, and dryers.
• Record and analyze vibration, pressure, and temperature data.
• Set up electrical and mechanical connections including soft starters and water-cooling towers.
• Generate test reports using Windows-based software.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to engineering.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
