Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group in Bakewell, TN is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join our day shift. You will set up and operate the ring press, perform pre-operation inspections, and move materials safely on the production line.

This role requires 2+ years in manufacturing, forklift experience, and a safety-first mindset. You will lift up to 75 lbs, work Monday–Thursday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Safety-first mindset and dependable conduct.
• Ability to pass forklift safety course and overhead crane training.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with industrial machinery experience.
• Flexible for non-standard hours and strong housekeeping.
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up the ring press and adjust tooling for size and thickness.
• Operate overhead crane and move materials on the production line.
• Cut, shear, weld prep and finish tasks to spec.
• Inspect pre-operation conditions and perform minor repairs/changeovers.
• Load/unload line, use forklift, and maintain organized station.
