Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Machine Operator to run equipment, set up ring presses, and ensure product quality in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment. You will follow supervisor schedules and adjust machines as needed while maintaining safety and organization on the production floor.

Responsibilities include cutting, welding prep, rolling, grinding, and forklift movement. Ideal candidates have 2 years of manufacturing experience, forklift and overhead crane familiarity, and the

Qualifications

• Must pass forklift safety course and demonstrate safe practices.
• Must pass overhead crane training.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75lbs.
• Flexible for non-standard working hours.

Responsibilities

• Cut/shear metal to correct size.
• Use welder to tack metal strips together.
• Use metal rolling machines to roll metal to correct roundness.
• Operate grinders to smooth metal welds.
• Operate flash welder and trimmer.
• Operate presses to enlarge or shrink metal rings.
• Load and unload materials on and off production line.
• Perform housekeeping and pre-operation inspections.
