Job summary

Times Microwave Systems is seeking an Assembly Operator to build flexible and semi-rigid RF cables to engineering specifications. You will solder and weld connectors to cables as required by customer needs, reading drawings and applying precise measurements with micrometers and calipers to ensure quality.

In this role you will follow assembly instructions, work with engineers to troubleshoot issues, and document all steps accurately in the production records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience manufacturing cable or cable assemblies, preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers.
• Welding or soldering experience, preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work with effectively with small hand tools and microscopes.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets engineering documents.
• Follows work instructions to produce flexible and semi-rigid cables per customer requirements.
• Works with Engineers to problem solve production issues.
• Preps cables to prepare for assembly.
• Solders or welds connectors to cables.
• Measures and bends specialty cables to specific dimensions.
• Completes required documentation.
