Job summary

Times Microwave Systems is seeking qualified candidates to assemble electrical connectors and related components. You will follow detailed instructions, gather parts, and perform hand, bench, and basic machine operations to prepare assemblies.

You will also drill, mill, thread, tap, solder, and braze as required, while inspecting parts for defects and ensuring fit and specification compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts requirements to complete assigned work.
  • Gather and organize necessary parts, tools, and materials prior to assembly.
  • Perform hand, bench, and basic machine operations to assemble connectors and related components as directed.
  • Execute drilling, milling, threading, tapping, soldering, and brazing per procedures.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify burrs or defects and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, and unusual conditions to the supervisor.
  • Assemble components and subassemblies ensuring proper fit and secure fastening.
  • Verify assemblies meet specifications using measuring tools and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues to maintain compliance.
  • Support stock handling activities and organize materials for department use.
  • Maintain equipment with routine preventive maintenance and report repair needs.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and keep a clean, organized work area.

Summary

Qualified candidates for this position will have experience with electrical assemblies, soldering, or cable assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts requirements to complete assigned work
  • Gather and organize necessary parts, tools, and materials prior to assembly
  • Perform a variety of hand, bench, and basic machine operations to prepare and assemble connectors and related components in accordance with established procedures
  • Execute basic machining and assembly tasks, including drilling, milling, threading, tapping, soldering, and brazing, following standard practices or specific instructions
  • Conduct visual inspections of parts and assemblies to identify burrs or other defects; perform minor repairs as needed
  • Identify and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, and unusual conditions to the supervisor
  • Assemble components and subassemblies, ensuring proper fit and secure fastening
  • Verify completed assemblies meet specifications using measuring tools and established quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Support stock handling activities, including identifying, issuing, and organizing materials for departmental use
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance and reporting repair needs
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
