Job summary

Communications & Power Industries is seeking a skilled cable and module assembler to follow drawings and exacting design specifications. You will work with coaxial cables, MS connectors, and hi-flex cable assemblies using a range of hand tools and swaging equipment.

You will read blueprints, measure to tolerance, set up dies, swage fittings, and verify dimensions with calipers and meters. Safety, 5S, and quality documentation are core to daily responsibilities, with opportunities to assist

Qualifications

  • Must read blueprints and interpret specifications.
  • Strong mechanical assembly experience with cable and module components.
  • Experience with swaging and crimping processes.
  • Good communication and teamwork.
  • Willingness to comply with safety procedures and 5S.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates and tests cable assemblies following blueprints and specifications.
  • Reads blueprints/work orders to determine operations, fittings, quantity.
  • Measures, cuts, and assembles cables to required length and tolerances.
  • Operates swaging machines, sets dies, and positions fittings.
  • Verifies dimensions with calipers and meters; tests holding capacity.
  • Repairs reworks as needed; marks identifications on assemblies.
  • Maintains safety, 5S, and proper documentation.
  • Supports R&D and engineering with assembly input.
