Job summary

Pregis in Visalia, CA is hiring a Reclaim Operator to operate the production line in the Bubble department, meet production goals, and ensure product quality. You will perform quality checks, document results, and minimize scrap while maximizing reuse of scrap.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior manufacturing experience, and the ability to follow safety rules, use PPE, and collaborate with maintenance and other shifts. Overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing or similar experience required. Mechanical aptitude required.
• Good mathematical skills required.
• Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others to ensure and promote a positive teamwork culture.
• Ability to communicate with team members including employees effectively and respectfully on the previous or following shift during shift transition.
• Knowledgeable about safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environments. Must be safety conscious, able to understand and adhere to all Department and Plant rules, regulations, and notices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems required, or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the production line for various products, meeting or exceeding production rates and customer specs; minimize waste.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Assist maintenance by troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Conduct quality checks including length/weight, vacuum tests, micrometer checks, and paperwork.
• Enter production/quality data into the system and sign off on quality compliance.
• Maintain clean work areas and ensure tools/equipment are properly stored.
• May be assigned to different lines as needed.
