Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a dependable Receiving Specialist to join our Inventory & Logistics team. You will ensure accurate inventory reception, inspection, and management, with shipping support as needed.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-focused, and capable of collaborating across Logistics, Sales, and Acquisitions. Experience with hospital supply chain or ERP systems is a plus; BA/BS is welcome but not required. Compensation includes health insurance and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions smoothly.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Experience with hospital supply chain, sterile processing, or surgical supply preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and inventory management systems (ERP experience a plus).
BA/BS degree is a plus but relevant experience considered in place of degree.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to learn quickly from mistakes.

Responsibilities

Create and reconcile purchase orders.
Receive, inspect, and verify products (including sterile integrity and expiration dates).
Perform precise data entry and maintain inventory records.
Communicate with Logistics, Sales, and Acquisitions teams.
Assist with product descriptions, market research, and cost/price determinations.
Identify and correct inventory discrepancies.
Organize and shelve inventory in warehouse.
Pick, pack, and process domestic and international orders (FedEx/UPS/DHL).
Perform moderate lifting up to 40 lbs.
