Job summary

Delaware Park is seeking a Receiving Clerk to manage daily inbound deliveries and ensure accurate stock receipt. You will verify items, maintain organized storage, and coordinate with departments for timely delivery of orders.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to operate manual handling equipment. A background in food product receiving is preferred and flexibility for a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous receiving experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of receiving experience including food products.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to use a hand truck and basic mechanical skills (preferred).
• Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains a fun, entertaining environment while ensuring flawless service delivery.
• Receives and accounts for daily/weekly deliveries from vendors.
• Delivers orders to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
• Keeps storage areas clean and organized.
• Adheres to local, state and federal health codes and ABC regulations.
• Maintains professionalism with team members and guests.
• Examines perishable food items delivered to Commissary for quality.
• Inspects and weighs stock to ensure it meets specifications; accepts or rejects unsatisfactory products.
• Notifies purchasing for credits on returned products.
• Performs formulation checks to ensure safe levels of perishable products during deliveries.
• Receives all other items and oversees rotation; participates in physical inventories as needed.
• Stays informed about applicable state and ABC regulations and promotes customer relations.
