Job summary

Delaware Park Casino & Racing is seeking a Receiving Associate to manage daily deliveries, verify stock, and maintain organized storage areas. You will ensure compliance with health codes and regulations while delivering items to the correct departments.

The role requires 1–3 years in receiving (including food), a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and strong communication skills. Flexibility for schedule, including some evenings and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous receiving experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in receiving, including food products.
• Must pass background check and licensing per Delaware Lottery.
• Valid driver’s license with 2+ years driving record with no points.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a fun, entertaining environment with service excellence.
• Receive and account for daily/weekly deliveries from vendors.
• Deliver orders to appropriate departments promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of storage areas.
• Adhere to Local, State and Federal Health Codes and ABC Regulations.
• Promote professional conduct with staff and guests.
• Inspect perishable food items on delivery.
• Verify stock receipts meet company specs; accept or reject unsatisfactory products.
• Coordinate with purchasing for credits on returns.
• Check perishable product safety during deliveries.
• Participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Know applicable state and ABC regulations.
• Promote outstanding customer relations.
• Promote honesty and trust among the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
